Join the full-moon beach walk

The walk from Baggies Beach is a fun way to enjoy the beach while watching the moon rise.

THERE will be a full-moon beach walk for the whole family on October 9 at 17:30, from the Baggies Kiosk.

This popular social event follows the shoreline along the beach from Baggies Beach to Winkle Beach and back. It is about 4km, but you can turn back wherever you want.

“The event was started by Yvonne Dixie of Toti in 2017. This fun walk is a time for friends, families and dogs to enjoy time on the beach while watching the full moon rise,” said coordinator Derek Pirie.

Over the years, the walk has seen up to 216 at its peak in December and as little as five walkers in the colder, windy nights.

The next two beach walks for the year are on November 8 and December 8.
