Lunch activities, in addition to the lunch itself, comprise bringing together of members to socialise. There were also a couple of raffles and entertainment.

“The event was a tremendous success, seating was comfortable, the meal was expertly cooked, the décor was very attractive and the organising of the lunch exceeded member`s expectations,” said the association’s chairperson, Megan Oschmann.

SAARP provides facility for fellowship among people over the age of 50 to promote activities which may include meetings, speakers, outings and any other means of providing fellowship.

Oschmann said the principal objective is to promote social and recreational amenities and facilities for the members in a non-profit manner.
