Teams clean up beaches after New Year’s celebrations
eThekwini Municipality's beach cleaning teams headed to Amanzimtoti Main Beach after the New Year's celebrations.
WARD 97 councillor, André Beetge commended the eThekwini Municipality’s cleaning teams for tidying up Amanzimtoti Main and surrounding beaches today, January 1.

A crowd of people made their way down to the Amanzimtoti Main Beach in anticipation of watching the firework displays, as they welcomed in the New Year.

“Kudos to the Amanzimtoti beach cleaning teams who have succeeded in clearing away the aftermath of the New Year’s celebration to render the beaches welcoming the days activities,” said Beetge.

Amanzimtoti Main Beach is open for swimming, while Pipeline, Warner and Winklespruit beach remain closed following the latest test results.
