Watch: Fire guts business and residences in Isipingo

The top section of the double-storey building, which is used for residential purposes, was alight.

A FIRE broke out at a business and residential building in Lotus Park, Isipingo on November 22, causing substantial damage before firefighters arrived.

Ward 90 councillor, Shad Nowbuth, said the fire broke out on the top floor of the double-storey building at Silver Gull Drive between 18:00 and 19:00. The building’s contains businesses at the bottom floor, and residential units above, where the fire originated. No injuries were reported and the firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.
