Court resumes with De Jager in the dock

SUN journalist Vusi Mthalane is reporting from the Amanzimtoti Court where Werner de Jager is appearing for a bail application.

COURT proceedings in the De Jager murder case have resumed at the Amanzimtoti Court after a power failure earlier in the day brought the proceedings to a halt.

Werner de Jager’s attorney questioned the court if it’s acceptable for photos to be taken of his client.

De Jager is expected to make a bail application after spending Christmas in jail. He is accused of murdering his wife, Reverend Liezel de Jager, in October 2021 at their Amanzimtoti home.
