Car stolen at shopping centre recovered in Malukazi

A red Toyota Cross stolen from a Chatsworth mall was recovered in Malukazi with its ignition damaged.

TEAM work involving security, a tracking company, and the police saw the recovery of a stolen vehicle in Malukazi on January 8.

PT Alarms’ spokesperson, Dhevan Govindasamy, said a red Toyota Cross had been stolen in Chatsworth a short while before it was recovered.

“It is alleged the owner went to a shopping mall and returned to find that his vehicle was stolen. The tracking device was activated and the vehicle was recovered in Malukazi,” said Govindasamy.

When it was recovered, the ignition was damaged.

Govindasamy praised the good work of the responders.
