Shot dead by a stray bullet

A man from Ezimbokodweni was killed by a stray bullet while waiting for his food order.

ANYONE with information regarding the shooting death of Luyanda Msane, 22, of Ezimbokodweni is advised to call the KwaMakhutha police station.

Msane died on May 10, at about 23:30 while waiting for his order at a fast-food outlet in Ezimbokodweni. According to his friend, who asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons, Msane was still waiting when a group fight broke out a short distance away from where he was standing.

“During the altercation, a gun went off, and the bullet hit Luyanda. He collapsed and died soon thereafter,” said the friend.

Case number 75/05/2025 was opened for murder at the KwaMakhutha police station. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information that might help the police to solve the case can call the police station on 031 905 1119 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 and report anonymously.
