Folweni school attends book fair

A group of high school learners engaged in discussions on climate change and environmental justice at the book fair.

LEARNERS from Isolemamba High School in Folweni attended the Eduvos Durban International Book Fair in uMhlanga from August 14 to 18.

The theme for this year, “Planet, People, and Power,” paved the way for meaningful and engaging discussions on today’s most pressing global challenges, from climate change and environmental justice to the social and political forces influencing the future.

The school’s departmental head of languages, Beata Khanyile, said it is important for learners to participate in such events to widen their horizons and rub shoulders with authors and book lovers.
