Join Warnadoone Lifesaving Club’s nippers’ open day
Nippers offers young children the opportunity to learn basic water and beach safety and lifesaving skills. All age groups from as young as six to 30 years are welcome to join the nippers' open day at the Warnadoone Lifesaving Club.
JOIN Warnadoone Lifesaving Club’s annual open day on August 18, to meet the coaches and see what nippers and lifesaving is all about.
The club’s public relations officer, Kerry Kyle, said the lifesaving club, established in 1927, has a strong presence in the local community.

“Lifesaving is an invaluable way to teach the skills needed to navigate the ocean and save lives while keeping fit and forming lifelong friendships. Competitive teams are encouraged to take part in various events as a way of engaging with and competing against like-minded athletes from across the province and country,” she said.
The club welcomes all age groups, from nippers as young as six to masters over 30 years. Members of the public are encouraged to join the nippers’ open day at 08:30 at 1 Dick King Place, Doonside.
The nippers officers this season are Douglas Benton (U14), Gavin Fristenberg (U10), Ross Kyle (U12), Darryn de Jager (U10) and Michiel Brits (U12).
This day will also see the commencement of the exciting new season which promises to be filled with fun. Be sure to bring along costumes, towels, a copy of your ID and loads of energy.
