SATURDAY, 21 NOVEMBER: Kloof Gorge day hike upstream to two waterfalls with the Mountain
Backpackers Club. Hikers will leave at 8.30am from the picnic site carpark. There is a small entrance fee. Take sun protection, hat, water, snacks and a rain jacket. Moderate fitness is required. Confirm with John McGovern beforehand on 082-659-5111.
WEDNESDAY, 25 NOVEMBER: The special Christmas luncheon will be held on in the Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. The cost remains unchanged at R120 but members pay only R105, the balance being sponsored by the club. Entertainment will be provided by Tammy Saville and friends, ‘The Country Girls’. Members are reminded that confirmation of intention to attend or not, and names of guests, must be received by Lyn on 082-572-1328 or on 031-903-4026 or Golda on 083-633-6338 or on 031-916-7001 no later than Friday, 20 November. No bookings will be taken after this date. Guests will be accommodated if there is room.
WEDNESDAY, 25 NOVEMBER: Full moon beach walk starts at 6pm from Warner Beach (Baggies) to Winkle Beach and back. Take your friends along. Call Yvonne on 074-190-0949.

WEDNESDAY, 2 DECEMBER: Mountain Backpackers Club hosts a beach walk from Umdloti to Umhlanga over a distance of about 12,5km on sand. Meet at 8am at Umdloti beach carpark to walk to Umhlanga and back. Lunch at the Bush Tavern afterwards, so book in advance. Call Heidi Cox on 082-706-4283 or e-mail heidi.dinan@gmail.com.
TUESDAY, 8 DECEMBER: Lodge Donoughmore No 709 IC now meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (except in January) at 6pm at the Masonic hall in Toti. If anyone is interested in freemasonry, call John on 031-903-1507.
