SATURDAY, 16 DECEMBER: A Christmas fair is being hosted by St Mary’s Church, 157 Kingsway Road, Warner Beach, starting at 8am. Fleamarket, arts and crafts and many others stalls are available to sell your wares. There will be entertainment for adults and children, including a jumping castle, games and face and hair art for children. Live and piped music throughout the day, tea garden and good food. Stall holders table bookings cost R100, gazebo R200 (the church supplies the table) or advertise your company by providing a banner for display. Sponsors will be acknowledged. SUNDAY, 17 DECEMBER: Toti Ranch hosts a fundraiser to help with the costs for the damage caused by the storm. Calling all crafters, foodies and frustrated parents. Join them for a Christmas market and horse show on 17 December.
Anyone wanting to sell there wares can call Jade on 076-023-5948 to book a table at a cost of R150. Market starts at 10am at 96 Adams Road (Toti ranch). Fun children's activities, Christmas goodies to buy and lots of great food to eat.
WEDNESDAY, 24 JANUARY: 21 Club next luncheon will be held at noon for 12.30pm at Lords and Legends conference room. Confirmation to attend or not must be received by the relevant committee members by Friday, 19 January. Guests who must be invited by a member will be accommodated if there is space. January has become 'travel news month'. Jenny Perkins and Sharon Hofmann have a tale to tell. Wear something cool.
FRIDAY 15, 22, 29 DECEMBER and 5 JANUARY: Amanzimtoti Bowling Club (next to Lords and Legends) holds barflies bowls and braai evenings. Visitors and non-bowlers welcome to try their hand at a fun game of bowls for an hour, then join the members in a bring and braai afterwards. Registration from 5pm for 5.30pm start (first come first served). Bowls will be available and there will be friendly members on hand to show you how to play. Simply wear smooth-soled takkies or sandals. The cost for an evening’s entertainment is only R10, and if you’re in the winning team you may even win a prize.
Lions host health checks
Every second Saturday of the month, between 10am and noon, Kingsburgh Lions Club hosts free blood pressure and diabetes testing at Pick ’n Pay Arbour Crossing.
The next testing will be on Saturday, 13 January.
Tea garden on break
DUE to the seasonal unpredictability of the weather, as well as family commitments during the Christmas holidays, the Wednesday tea garden in the bird park will not operate during December and January.
Tokkie and Lynette wish all their patrons a blessed Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone again in February 2018.
