SMANGA MHLONGO: “I personally play sports because I want to be healthy and fit. In the South, we are blessed because we have lots of sports facilities to play at.”
WITH a high volume of teenagers participating in sports, COURIER asked teenagers why is it important to play sports. This is what they had to say:
LUSANDA MABASO: “Drugs have destroyed our fellow brothers and sisters, therefore, avoiding the trap of ending up as a drug user sports is the only way. Even at school, we are told to participate in sports to keep ourselves fit.”MINENHLE MABASO: “Speaking categorically education and religion add value in us so does sports be it hockey, soccer, cricket or rugby. If all teenagers can participate in sports I am certain that in the next coming years we might be a crime-free country.”SEIME GOMES: “Sports is important because it helps one to be fit. My advice to people out there is they should take sports seriously as it connects continents.”
