Hijacked car found in Meredale

The player was in Botswana with the team when the incident happened.

MEREDALE – The car that was involved in the hijacking in Mid-November in CBD was found in Meredale Heights in a Kaizer Chiefs player’s parking bay.

The attack was filmed on CCTV camera where a family was hijacked at the corner of Commissioner and Crown streets in central Johannesburg.

Kaizer Chiefs Football Club has confirmed that a car, which was hijacked in Johannesburg central, has been found in the parking bay of one its players.

According to Sowetan, club spokesman Vina Maphosa on Tuesday (November 26)  said, “Yes, we can confirm that. The player is dealing with the matter. It is a private matter.”

Also police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini confirmed that the car was found at a complex in Meredale.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the crime.
