*SA Wheelchair team victorious. South African Wheelchair Basketball u.23 team represented Africa at the World Championship.
*Big wheel down. Famous Gold Reef City Theme Park big wheel was put down temporarily due maintenance.
*Thandeka buried with dignity. Thandela Madonsela (14) from Naturena was laid to rest at Avalon Cemetery. She was murdered and dumped two kilometres away from her home.
*Hamlet gets treated. Alberton City Maxi’s hosted breakfast for 210 leaners from The Hamlet School.
