Overgrown grass in the South

OVERGROWN grass in the South is the order of the day after a lengthy period in which it was not cut. The Southern COURIER has received several complaints from its readers about this matter.

Johannesburg City Parks would like to inform the readers that the teams are out and in the next few weeks overgrown grass should be cut.

Residents are complaining about overgrown grass and bushes in the dip on North Road in Roseacre and along the stream crossing below Roseacre. In addition, there is a fallen tree blocking the pedestrian path; it could be a danger as many people use that sidewalk and are forced to walk on the shoulder of the road.

“I understand the festive season has just passed but something needs to be done. I thought I’d bring this to the attention of the Southern COURIER,” said one resident in this area.

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo is currently experiencing seasonal backlogs. Maintenance schedules are published on their website, www.jhbcityparks.com
