Woman hijacked at gunpoint

Armed men hijacked a woman in Forest Hill.

FOREST HIIL – A woman with her child in a silver grey Corsa bakkie was hijacked at gunpoint in Forest Hill, corner Napier and Golf streets on Wednesday February 5 around 19:40.

She said the hijackers were two well-built foreign African men who spoke Zulu. “One of them put a gun in my neck. They demanded my phone, I could give it to them as it is my business phone. I threw it out of the window onto the grass. I wrestled with them and they took off. They dropped the child a few blocks from the scene,” she explained.

Inside the car were her belongings, including money and her identity document. The registration of the bakkie is XGK007GP.

She opened a case at Booysens Police Station and it is being investigated.
