BOOYSENS – From February 10 to 16 a total of 112 arrests were made at Booysens Police Station.
The arrests included theft general, one – armed robbery, seven – assault common, 55 – drunk and driving, two – housebreaking and theft and 16 – drug related offense.
A suspect received a conviction of 20 years for a house robbery case that Detective Constable Nefuranyele was investigating. The suspect was convicted 20 year direct imprisonment for the crime that was committed in 2008.
Detective Sergeant Chabalala needs assistance from the community for information about a murder that took place last week Sunday night, when an unknown male was burnt in a brown Merc Benz hatchback. The incident took place in Ormonde on Modulus Road. The deceased was unrecognisable due to burning. If anyone has any information concerning this matter please contact him on 011 433 5242.
