First prize for Excellence in Secondary School teaching

Mr Andonis Antoniou, a teacher at Mondeor High School received first prize with an award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching.

MONDEOR – Mr Antoniou is registered for a PhD in the field of science education in the Faculty. His PhD research focuses on professional teacher development within communities of practice. This passionate Life Science teacher enriches the lives of the children at Mondeor High and he has taught here for 15 years, giving tremendous subject expertise. All his learners love and respect him and he a true hands on educator.

“This is a wonderful honour for me and I owe my success to God first. By His grace I’ve received this award. Mondeor High is a marvellous school and I’ve enjoyed every minute of my 15 years teaching here,” said Mr Antoniou.
