ROSETTENVILLE – Adored Lillies Educare Skills Information Centre (Adlesic) in Kenilworth aims to create jobs and empower the community through skills development.
This was an Educare initiative back in 2010 based in Kennedy Street, however General Manager Thandi Okeke with her team saw a need for a skills and information centre in the area to help the youth as well as the rest of the community.
“We want to help those who are willing to grow either personally or their business. There’s career guidance, entrepreneurship, an advisory of youth and councelling, social grant assistance and directory, to name some of the services we offer. Though our service are free, there is a once-off affiliation fee of R180. As a NPO we also assist our prospect individuals with employment,” explained Thandi Okeke.
Also on offer are skills development (accredited and non-accredited) and community social involvement.
