Clean up Kibler Park to celebrate Mandela Day

Members of the Community are invited to join the cleaning in and around Kibler Park.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – On Friday July 18, the world will join in celebrating the legacy of our father and ANC stalwart, former President Nelson Mandela, with the 67 Minute for Mandela Day celebration.

The ANC Alveda and Kibler Park Sub branch thought it necessary to also heed the call made to all South Africans to participate in this initiative.

“We have agreed to celebrate this auspicious occasion by cleaning in Kibler Park. Members of the Community are invited to join us when we clean in and around the Kibler Park,” the branch members said.

“Except for the obvious benefits of having a clean area and raising awareness of the importance of keeping the environment clean, this affords us the opportunity to engage with each other as the communities of both Kibler Park and Alveda Park; to talk about and share the challenges we’re facing in the community, such as crime, unemployment and underdevelopment,” Segale Deka said.

The cleaning will start on Saturday July 26. People will be meeting at the park near the Kibler Park Clinic at 09:00.
