JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Heritage Day was celebrated at Montanus Primary School where staff members wore numerous traditional outfits to embrace the diverse heritages of the learners at the school.
Everyone brought traditional meals to teach one another about how they are prepared and what they are called.
“We not only celebrate our own heritage but the heritages of everyone. We at Montanus embrace the cultures of others and that is why we have a very good sense of Ubuntu. This is what we teach all our learners. We teach them that it does not matter where you come from or who you are, because here you can belong,” said school principal Mr. Khan.
