Street lights finally fixed

Almost all street lights were out of order

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Street lights reported to have been out of order for a long time at Hamilton Street, Naturena are finally working, making Jackson Mojaki and his family feel safe.

Jackson had phone the COURIER to report that almost all the street lights in the street were no longer working and were not getting fixed even after he reported it several times.

He had obtained reference numbers each time he reported from as far back as March earlier this year but the street remained dark at night.

“My house is near a park and I stay with my family so I am concerned about safety. When I phoned, they said it would only take seven working days but it took longer than that,” said Jackson who was disappointed at the time.

Jackson, who does not have a parking garage, is now a happy man after City Power’s Communications Officer, Sydney Mphahlele acted swiftly to ascertain the lights were fixed as soon as he was told about the situation.

“I was so happy the lights were back to normal on the day Mr Mphahlele promised. I am grateful to the COURIER for their help,” he added.
