28-year-old shot dead in Crown Gardens

Second death in the South in one day. Also a body was found in Linhill veld.

CROWN GARDENS – A 28-year-old man was gunned down in the early hours of Wednesday November 5 at corner Regal Street and Tilrae Drive.

The incident happened around 03:00 and the deceased was shot.

Booysens Police Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik confirmed the incident.

POLICE STATEMENT: On November 5 at 03:00 members of Booysens SAPS received a call of a person lying in the road in Crown Gardens.

The members went to the mentioned address and found the deceased lying on the ground. It was found that the deceased died of a gunshot.

A docket of murder has been opened and currently investigating officers are following up information received from people at the scene.
