Handbell ringer entertains WI members
Eikenhof Women’s Institute members were treated to an entertaining morning given by Gottfried Schiele, who is a handbell ringer.
SUIDEROORD – Gottfried was ‘discovered’ by Lillian Currie, a member of the WI, who had previously had the privilege to hear him perform with his English handbells at other women’s meetings and church performances.
The members were filled with awe as Gottfried rang his handbells, playing classical and spiritual pieces.
After the entertainment, members enjoyed refreshments.
