Dear fellow South Africans,

The ANC in ward 124 – Bertha Gxowa branch would like to wish all our citizens a safe and festive Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.

This year, 2014 was an eventful year which poses a lot of challenges related to our socio-economic situation and as a result some jobs were lost. As we take stock of our performance as individual and families, we must be mindful that this country belong to all of who lives in. During the period of festive holiday, we must behave in a responsive manner where our safety and those around us becomes important and it is our responsibility to keep everybody safe. Those who are taking long drives and distances, please drive safety and ensure that we avoid unnecessary loss of innocent lives.

As we begin the New Year, we must be mindful of our agenda of the Second Phase of our National Democratic Revolution that requires focus and dedication of all citizens in creating a better lives for all through the implementation of the National Development Plan. To the leadership of our movement and its Congress Alliance, we are presently confronted by real challenges that place a great responsibility upon us as leaders with regards to the renewal of the ANC.

There are also important organisational programmes that are about ensuring that, as we celebrate the twenty years of our democracy, we are focused on ensuring that our government is responsive to the needs of our people and society.

We wish all a safe and joyful Festive holidays and Prosperous 2015.
