Robbery in Suideroord

The home owners daughter ran out of the house screaming.

SUIDEROORD – Four suspects derailed a gate and then broke open the security gate before entering a home in Seder Street, Suideroord, on Thursday January 29 at 17:45.

The suspects, in their early twenties, stole jewellery, a TV and a handbag and left in a light blue sedan (could be a Jetta or Camry or similar vehicle).

Mondeor CPF would like to appeal to residents to please be vigilant at all times.

* Lock your driveway sliding gate with a lock during the day if you not planning to go out.
* Install extra locks on your front door security gate.
* If you are busy in the kitchen or the back of the house, close and lock your front door. Do not leave it open.
* Install a remote panic button and please carry on you 24/7 for safety reasons.
* Install security beams around your premises and ensure they are linked to your security alarm. This will alert you immediately if someone enters your property, giving you time to react.
