Long grass a big problem in the South
Residents are frustrated by the long and overgrown grass in the South.
In response to the complaint regarding long grass in Elandspark and the rest of the South: I can understand the frustrations which residents have to experience. And in my point of view, I agree with residents that this is not the kind of service delivery residents deserve.
The entire area looks unsightly and it is not a good environment, especially for our children to play in as it is a haven for the thieves to hide away in this long one meter overgrown grass.
However, I have been in contact with City Park prior to December 2014, and I was promised that contractors would come out. But every time I received promises from City Parks, I informed certain community members of the promises by City Parks as they had problems with contractors, but hopefully the delay has come to an end.
On the morning of Wednesday February 19, I engaged again with the manager from City Parks and was told that they already started cutting in Elandspark.
