DA visits Lusito Land

Ward 57 Councillor Faeeza Chame was especially pleased that the DA was present at this public event.

ON Saturday April 25 the Democratic Alliance (DA) Joburg South Constituency, together with the DA South Fork branch in Ward 57 of Johannesburg, visited Lusito Land.

The DA chose to support this event due to the fact that some of the events’ funds goes to the Lusito School for the disabled children and to show a presence in the community.

Michael Crichton, the Secretary of the DA Joburg South Constituency, said: “We always support this annual event as it goes towards a good cause. There are so many disabled children in our country who do not have access to an education, and so we really appreciate this event”.

Ward 57 Councillor Faeeza Chame was especially pleased that the DA was present at this public event. “We want the public to know the DA cares for the community, and we are very pleased to be among everyone today!”

Cllr Chame further added that if there were any service delivery issues in the surrounding areas she was not already aware of, residents were able to bring them to her attention.

Manny De Freitas, who is the Member of Parliament for Johannesburg South, congratulated the organisers of Lusito Land on staging its 34th event. “This is a truly wonderful event where the members of the community come out and had a great time for a good cause. May this event grow from strength to strength!” said De Freitas.
