Few Good Guys donate to those in need

The Community Award ceremony ended off with a staff lunch and games, with three prizes being awarded to staff members.

JOHSNNESBURG SOUTH – Thaba Eco Hotel has commenced with its Community Awards, and what better way to start than by awarding one of their own staff members.

Daniel Rynders, a Thaba Eco Hotel employee, took it upon himself to begin a Whatsapp group (Few Good Guys), and within a week the group managed to collect over R12 000 worth of groceries, and blankets.

Taryn Porteous (sales and business development manager) recently received a plea from Michelle Pelser (Mondeor CPF) about a group of homeless families living in Second Avenue, Alberton North, who were in desperate need of food. With this in mind, Daniel went along to the group and donated all the groceries and blankets which Few Good Guys had collected.

“We are extremely proud of Daniel and what he has managed to achieve, feeding 21 families,” said Maruis Botes, co-owner of Thaba Eco Hotel. “Our Community Awards are all about recognising the good which individuals do within our community.”

“Few Good Guys is a small group of friends who wish to give a little something back each month, whatever they can spare, be it cash, groceries, toiletries, toys or clothing, it will be gratefully received. We meet once a month for a breakfast and each member has a chance to choose to help someone less fortunate than ourselves,” said Daniel.

New members are welcome, or if you have any ideas or know of someone in need, contact Daniel at fewgoodguys.sa@gmail.com
