Sir John Adamson drummies shine

These ladies participated in the provincial team and won the first place gold at the SAMCA competition.

YOUNG drummies did the South of Johannesburg proud when they participated in the provincial team and won the third place gold at the South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association (SAMCA) competition.

The drum majorettes showed their talent and what Sir John Adamson Secondary School has to offer by representing the South in the national competition. Jessica Tembe, Miraldina Congoma, Hangwani Masikhwa, Nhlamula Siwela, Chloe Sandberg, Magdeline Botha and Choniel Meyers scooped medals.

Five groups competed at the finals where the throwing prop group took the 10th place, the flag group took the fifth place, the pom non-prop group took the fifth place and the small drill took the fourth place, which was a big improvement compared to eighth place in 2014. Large drill sub leaders took the 10th place and the squad took the third place.
