Muhammad trains throughout the year and swims between eight and 10 km per day, five days a week.
His ambition for the coming season is to achieve a top five finish in the 13 and under age category at the Dischem Sun City Swim in October this year and to achieve a top 10 position in the 13 and under age category in the Midmar Mile swim in February 2016.
Muhammad’s greatest desire is to accomplish the 8km swim from Robben Island to Blouberg. This would require a three hour swim in sea waters with temperatures dropping to as low as 7°C.
