City Deep heist goes wrong

CITY DEEP – The Johannesburg Flying Squad arrested a  total of 16 men during a business robbery in City Deep while allegedly trying to steal tobacco worth R14 million at a shipping company, on Sunday September 6.

The police’s Katlego Mogale told EyeWitness News that the suspects aged between 18 and 35 were arrested and all the cargo was recovered and a case of business breaking in has been opened.

“It’s understood the suspects entered the premises in two trucks and told a security guard they were there to pick-up a consignment” Eyewitness News reported. ‘
