BREAKING NEWS: JSPCA robbed at gun point

More information to follow.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH: Five armed men entered the JSPCA in Booysens and robbed the two night shift security guards at gun-point after tying them to a chair with a heavy duty chain this morning between 1:00 and 2:00.

Jolene Beyleveld from JSPCA said the suspects fled the scene with computers, laptops, flat screen TVs and an undisclosed amount of cash. Both the security guards were taken to the hospital after one of them was hit with a firearm.

“No animal was injured during the robbery. In our care, the animals take high priority,” said a disappointed Jolene Beyleveld.

Booysens SAPS are currently investigating.
