WHAT started as a housebreaking in Adelaide Street, Linmeyer, ended with a motor vehicle accident and shoot-out at The Hill on Wednesday, October 7.
A neighbour alerted the CPF members when people were jumping over the wall. Constable Rebecca Bila from the Moffatview SAPS said the CPF members saw the suspects jumping the wall and they escaped in a Toyota Corolla.
“At the corner of 3rd Avenue and Yestor Street, The Hill, the suspects caused an accident. One suspect got away. The other suspects started shooting at the CPF members. CPF members fired shots and the suspect was apprehended. Nobody was injured. The suspects were driving a gold Toyota Corolla,” said Constable Billa.
