JUST IN: Turffontein woman shot and killed by her lover

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Booysens police are investigating the murder of a Turffontein woman who was shot and killed by her lover in their home on Saturday October 31, around 01:00.

Local SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik, said the two were a couple but not married although they had been in a relationship for a while.

The police have arrested the suspect and are investigating his motive, while they await the results of a Post Mortem report.

A source told the Southern COURIER that the woman from Andrew Street was in her 40s and well known in that part of the South of Johannesburg.
