Christmas lunch for cause at Casta Luzzo

LINMEYER – Yituba Lami Project beneficiaries were the special guests at the Casta Luzzo restaurant in Linmeyer at a Christmas lunch organised by the new owner, Ilvo Forgiarini, on December 6.
The Christmas lunch was held with the purpose of raising funds for the Yituba Lami Project towards the operational running costs of the facility that provides for boys who come from less fortunate backgrounds.
The owners of Casta Luzzo offered this opportunity to the Yitumi Lami Project as they have helped them before, and because this is a project close to their hearts.
“The guardian of the boys has a done a superb job of making a special home for these boys of a less fortunate background. They rely on help from the community and donations to see them through the year; it was a pleasure for us at Casta Luzzo to have them for this festive occasion. They enjoyed delicious, hot pizzas of various flavours to suit all their taste buds as well as drinks and Italian ice cream for dessert, the mood was joyous and full of the Christmas spirit of giving,” said Erica Forgiarini.
After the lunch gifts were handed out to the unsuspecting guests who received them with much excitement.
Lesley Gogela from the Yituba Lami Project gave a touching speech to thank the owners and staff of Casta Luzzo for their hospitality. Should the community wish to make a pledge or donation, they can pop in to Casta Luzzo and speak to Ilvo.
Casta Luzzo recently underwent a huge change, from the owner to the signage. They are still situated on the corner of South Rand Road and Johan Meyer Street.
