MONDEOR Tracing Unit arrested two suspects, aged 21 and 19, on January 21 after following up on information received about street robberies which had been happening in the Mondeor and Booysens area from September 2015 to November 2015.
One suspect was arrested in Glenanda and the other one in Mondeor. The suspects were allegedly targeting school children around the Mondeor area and robbing them of their cellphones at gun point. The suspects were using a green Golf and silver Honda.
Mondeor SAPS is appealing to anyone who was a victim of the robbing duo and did not open a case, to come forward.
