Domestic Watch kicks off 2016

Recently, Domestic Watch Sector 1 held its first meeting of the year with the topic being, Trust.

SUIDEROORD – Michelle Pelser (Community Policing Forum Sector 1) coordinated the meeting and Martin Barber from SOS Protec  Sure, spoke about trust, in the workplace and at home.

“When trust is broken it is very difficult to regain it again. Being employed means you are fulfilling a need and will be gainfully employed and financially rewarded for doing the work you are entrusted to,” Barber told the domestic workers who attended the meeting.

“When you are employed you take responsibility for a job which includes all aspects of security and taken seriously, security will make you feel secure in the workplace, the home you are looking after. Check the security daily, including booms, electric fences and alarms,” he advised.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday March 8 at 10:00 at the Sasol Garage, corner Columbine Avenue and Swartgoud Street, Suideroord.
