Reuven senior wins holiday

“We wish her a wonderful rest,” added Sue.

AN Easter lunch, held at Reuven Old Age Home by Sue Lubbe and Friends, saw one of the seniors winning a holiday.

Nellie Thorpe will be heading down to Durban for a three-night break and is very excited to have won. “I feel very blessed and give thanks to Sue Lubbe and Friends from the bottom of my heart,” she said.

“We wish her a wonderful rest,” said Sue.

Other prizes were handed out to the second, third, fourth and fifth prize winners. The prizes included food hampers and chocolates.

“We are appealing to the public, with winter coming, to donate blankets, warm winter linen and Cup-a-Soups, rusks, tea, coffee, sugar and so on. Many of our seniors are becoming very frail and need to be kept extra warm. Thank you to the public who give generously to the seniors at the home and to those who take time to come and visit them. Many have no relatives, so a visitor is special to them.”
