Housebreaking duo caught

The community of Linmeyer chased the suspects and caught them at the corner of East and Victoria streets.

RESIDENTS of Linmeyer caught two suspects after they were spotted trying to break into a flat along Elizabeth Avenue on Monday, June 20, at about 13:30.

The suspects were spotted by one of the residents who quickly called the flats’ caretaker. They swiftly joined forces to chase after the two suspects who had jumped the gate and started running. More community members joined the chase and caught up with the suspects at the corner of East and Victoria streets.

The two suspects were taken to Moffatview SAPS and the police are encouraging the public to be the eyes and ears of the police at all times.
