Police clamp down on drugs
Moffatview SAPS arrested numerous locals during a recent patrol in the South.
MOFFATVIEW SAPS Crime Prevention Unit headed by Lt Col Wiseman Sithole in partnership with patrollers and the community searched a number of locals for drugs on Friday, July 8.
The officers and patrollers who were conducting the stop-and-search from 18:00 confiscated one packet of nyaope, one packet of crystal meth, one packet of cat, one packet off dagga, one Nokia cellphone, two Samsung cellphones, three green plastics containing smoking pipes, one digital scale, and one small ziplock bag.
Communications officer Constable Rebecca Bila, said: “Sector One is one of our challenging drugs and prostitution areas. Moffatview SAPS are warning drug dealers that we are in arms against drugs together with the community and we will not rest until the area is drug-free.”
