The time has come

The time has come for the official fun-filled fundraiser at the REC Wellness Centre.

RESIDENTS are reminded of a fund-raiser that’s being planned and organised to improve the financial state of the REC Wellness Centre in Harry Street, Robertsham.

The centre works towards curbing drug addiction among youth in the South – and has successfully turned the lives of many young people around. They hope to keep going, because fighting against drug addiction is a fight against crime and drug dealing.

The event will have various entertainment acts and a beauty pageant, with categories for ages six to 10; 11 to 15 and 16 to 21 – vouchers and hampers are to be won.

The fund-raiser will be hosted on Friday, December 16, from 09:00 in the morning until late. Stall space is available and more interested parties are invited to take part and help raise funds.

There will also be a drug awareness march and an enticing car show; to woo the crowd and attract more people to participate in this struggle against drugs.

Those interested in taking part in the beauty pageant and buying stall space, are encouraged to contact Lana Thompson – to register for R150 – on 082 784 6118.

People who won’t be able to attend but wish to donate, are encouraged to add ’16 December’ as part of their reference, when they make a deposit to: Standard Bank; Account name: Phela Giving Back; Southdale branch; branch code: 006405; Account number: 003644359.

Don’t get lost or confused; contact Lana Thompson on 082 784 6118, or Wayne Fearick on 084 316 4723, or Deon Kok on 073 843 1375, or Linda Hedley on 078 238 9377.
