Bassonia fire breaks out

The occupants of the house and surrounding premises were safely evacuated

AT around 17:00 on January 24, patrollers received a distress call from the occupants of a house in Basroyd Drive in Bassonia which had caught fire.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched and with the help of CPF patrollers, the occupants of the house and surrounding premises were safely evacuated and the Victim Support Unit was on scene counselling the home owners.

Mondeor SAPS has been contacted for comment and received no feedback regarding this matter thus far.
