Crime awareness drive held
A door-to-door crime awareness campaign was conducted to address crime, which has been on the increase in Naturena.

JOHANNESBURG Cluster Social Crime Prevention and Communication recently embarked on community mobilisation against crime through the Department of Community Safety and Naturena Community Patrollers.
A door-to-door crime awareness campaign was conducted to address crime, which has been on the increase in Naturena. The community was sensitised on measures to prevent house-breakings and the team proceeded to Southgate taxi rank to interact with taxi drivers and commuters on street robberies which occur when commuters travel to and from work.
Suspects also target school children in quiet streets and isolated areas, as well as residents making their way to taxi ranks.
This initiative is ongoing to improve visibility to reduce street robberies and other criminal activities.
