New ECD executive members chosen
They meet every month and its aim is to assist schools in aiming for excellence in pre-school education.
THE Early Childhood Development Forum (ECDF) held its annual general meeting (AGM) to elect the 2017 executive members on Thursday, February 9 at the Tulip Garden Centre, A Pinch of Thyme restaurant, Haddon.
This forum was established in May 2005 in the Southern Suburbs of Johannesburg.
It includes about 60 pre-schools from all over Johannesburg.
All owners and principal are welcome to join the ECDF.
They meet every month with the aim of assisting schools in aiming for excellence in pre-school education.
The Forum is on the cutting edge of all the new development within the pre-school education sector, thanks to their association with the Gauteng Department of Education, the Department of Social Services and Health and other stakeholders within the sector.
The new executive members for 2017 are: Lunga Mkhize (chairperson), Janice Davids (vice chair), Linda Skupien (secretary) and Clare Keeler (treasurer).
The co-opted members are: Queen Somdaka, Adekemi Agoro, Lenda Sibanyoni, Zuki Vuza, Tsholofelo Nkgabe, Samantha Retief and Pauline Monnakgotla.
