Door knocking nets three suspects

During the campaign, a Rosettenville resident informed the police about a crime that he had witnessed. As a result, three men were arrested.

MOFFATVIEW SAPS continued their campaign to be more visible and engage with the residents of Rosettenville and surrounding suburbs, door-to-door, on Monday, March 6.

During the campaign, a Rosettenville resident informed the police about a crime that he had witnessed. As a result, three men were arrested, by the Moffatview SAPS Station Commander, Colonel Shadrack Khoza, for possession of a stolen water meter. The missing water meter was found in the boot of a car.

The purpose of the awareness campaign was to encourage residents to work with the police to root out criminals and to report police corruption to the SAPS hotline (082 820 6467).

Police handed out pamphlets about crime and residents were also told that they can contact Col Khoza, directly, on 082 774 9741, if they are not satisfied with the service they receive from the police.
