Glenvista recovery team finds hijacked truck after Booysens armed ambush
A tracking system led security teams and SAPS to the truck in Glenvista after it was allegedly hijacked by seven to eight armed suspects in Booysens.
A hijacked truck was recovered on Klipriver Road in Glenvista on Wednesday morning, September 9, after its tracking system was activated following an armed hijacking in Booysens.
According to CPS Security, about seven to eight armed suspects hijacked the truck earlier in the morning.
The suspects were reportedly travelling in a white Toyota Quantum and were allegedly armed with rifles.
After the hijacking, the truck’s tracking system was activated, providing its location.
CPS Security said its tactical team responded to the information and located the hijacked truck on Klipriver Road.
The relevant tracking company and the SAPS were contacted and responded to the scene to assist with the recovery and further investigation.
No further details regarding the suspects had been provided by the time of publication.
The security team’s rapid response, tracking technology, and cooperation between the parties involved were credited with the recovery.
