Atlases for Rosettenville Central Primary School

Sixty-seven million children worldwide have no access to education and some 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Rotary’s goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

ROTARY Johannesburg South 101 recently handed over illustrated atlases to Rosettenville Central Primary School’s principal, Anna Lee, and deputy principal Portia Johnson.

One of Rotary International’s six areas of focus is to support basic education and literacy. Sixty-seven million children worldwide have no access to education and some 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Rotary’s goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

Rotary Johannesburg South 101 meets every Tuesday at 18:45, at United Cerebral Palsy Association, Townsview, where they have the opportunity to deliver service to their community and enjoy fellowship.
