May the best cake win

Bring your aprons and get baking!

SOUTH African National Parks (SANParks) is hosting the Safari Bake Off competition and auction in support of the SANParks Honorary Rangers Johannesburg South Region.

If you want to be part of this great adventure, enter by baking a cake that showcases any element of nature, SANParks or wildlife.

There are two categories – juniors (10 to 18 years) and seniors (over 18 years) and there are great prizes up for grabs, including accommodation at a five-star luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park, valued at over R18 000.

All cakes will be auctioned and proceeds will go to the region for SANParks projects.

The bake-off is set to take place on May 6, at the Trade Route Mall, in Lenasia, from 09:00.

Cakes will be judged by The Great South African Bake Off contestants Nasreen Chamda and Jason Miller, as well as the president of the South African Cake Decorators’ Guild, Sue Reid.

For more information, contact 083 625 6379 or 081 412 7059 or email safaribake@gmail.com for an entry form.
