THE brand-new Haval H2 SUV was launched at Raceview Motors on June 1.
Members of the public, Haval and the GWM (Great Wall Motor) team attended.
Haval is GWM’s new professional SUV brand, covering both city and cross-country SUV products. The new SUV is available with a single engine choice (1.5-litre petrol), two transmission options (six-speed manual or auto) and three trim levels (City, Premium or Luxury).
Prices start from R244 900 for the 1.5 City manual to R309 900 for the top-of-the-range Luxury auto.
In China, the Haval SUV has been ranked number one in sales volume for 14 consecutive years.
In 2016 Haval sold 938 000 units in China, up 42 per cent year on year.
The Haval has also featured prominently in the Dakar Rally for five consecutive years.
Great Wall Motor Company Limited has been listed among the Forbes Asia Fabulous 50 three times.
